WHY WE ARE THE BEST

We Pride our self in making sure the youth is off the streets and further their dreams. We give the youth of South Africa in particular KZN, a platform they can be free and be their true selves and achieve all their goals and wishes.

AFROSOUL IN CONCERT

Afrosoul in Concert 2025 is a concept that is created by kabawo Projects NPC and its aim is to revive, restore and promote African indigenous music (Afro-pop) in particular. South Africa is famously known for producing big names in the Afro-pop music genre such as the late mama Busi Mhlongo, Amahotela Queens, Brenda Fassie just to mention a few. As a development and event's company we saw a need to fill the gap that these above-mentioned legends left in the South African music industry.

Afrosoul is one of the best Afro-pop music groups with a number of awards and has performed on big stages both nationally and internationally. The group is born in the province of KwaZulu Natal that is still holding on and raising a flag for these musical genres and wish to continue the legacy. In 2023 we produced and staged a SOLD-OUT show in KwaZulu Natal's Durban Playhouse, which proved to be a great success. The show creates about seventy job opportunities for the South African artists, youth in particular. In the previous show we featured artists like, Khuzani, Zuluboy, Dr Mbongeni Ngema (the late), Ndoni and many more.

The invitation will be extended to all secondary schools of KZN not forgetting special schools with the assistance of the Department of Education. The festival has a mandate of bringing together all races, tribes and people from different backgrounds to the same sphere with the intention of promoting social cohesion and nation building.

GIDA MZANSI DANCE SERIES

Dance is a universal language just like Music is; South Africa is a dancing country, we dance in every occasion when we are happy

or sad it doesn’t matter, we just dance. Gida Mzansi Dance Series aims to celebrate South African dance especially the

indigenous dance types like, Zulu traditional dance and Shembe Dance. After a long observation and research, we found that the

youth from the tertiary education level spend a lot of time singing and dancing during their spare time. We noticed that 90% of

university students especially in KwaZulu Natal enjoy dance challenges and dance shows. what is interesting is that we see

graduates coming to the graduation ceremonies dressed in their traditional attires. Most celebrations are now done traditionally

accompanied with African music and chants. The above has inspired us to put together (Gida Mzansi Dance Series) which will

play a role in connecting the future to the past. This event will also allow young people to connect with their roots thus empower

them with indigenous knowledge.

Our theme is (From BekuZulu to MisuZulu). This theme is inspired by the hall in the premises of the University of Zululand which

is named after king BhekuZulu. As we wish to connect the rich history of our country, we have planned to stage this event at

BhekuZulu hall. This competition/celebration also aims to celebrate our heritage and inspire students to love their culture and

customs to win their educational challenges. The rich Zulu history from the times of King Bhekuzulu to MisuZulu will encourage

the youth to always remember their roots and borrow wisdom from our fallen heroes and heroines to fight their day-to-day

battles.
